Matakauri Lodge Head Chef Jonathan Rogers delivers an exquisite take on modern New Zealand cuisine.Sourcing the very best produce from local suppliers in the Central Otago Region, Rogers and Matakauri Lodge offers a unique dining experience in a luxurious setting.

As Rogers showcases local seasonal produce with clean, fresh flavours in an a la carte menu that changes daily, guests are left to appreciate the stunning mountain panorama and a truly world-class wine menu.

Rogers says his cuisine is heavily influenced by the landscapes and environs of Central Otago.

“By changing the menus daily, it allows myself and the team the opportunity to utilize seasonal local produce of the highest quality, and to tailor the menus around each guests' individual likes and needs. I work closely with a number of local purveyors and farmers to source the finest quality produce that showcases the very best of the region.”

Guests can choose from a variety of dining spaces, including the Library, Dining Room, Remarkables Patio, Courtyard and Lounge, with private dining arranged upon request.

Lanolin Rehydration Treatment 80 mins

The ultimate treatment for dehydrated skin. Start your treatment with a welcome foot bath, followed by a full body massage concentrating on your areas of concern. Complete your treatment with an application of rich Lanolin Cream, made here in New Zealand. Hydrate dry and tired skin.

Back Specific Mud Treatment 80 mins

This treatment is perfect for sore and aching muscles. An application of self heating mud is applied to the back which helps to alleviate muscle tension and pain. This is followed by a full body massage concentrating on your areas of concern.

Hot Stone Massage 80 mins

This massage is offered as a soothing, ritualised treatment for relaxation. Heated basalt stones are placed on the body and used as an extension of the therapists hands to melt away stress and muscle tension.
